Site Demographics:
The building's
construction date is around the 1920s. The building was used for many
different business in it's time, such as a butcher shop, a funeral home, a
Salvation Army, and now as a drama theater. The building has been used
as a theater since 1996 and has experienced paranormal activity since the
current owners moved in. It is a two story brick building that is
extremely long. It holds the theater, a few offices, bathrooms, lobby,
kitchen, and dining area on the first floor. The second floor holds
storage rooms for props and costumes, dressing rooms, a make-up room, and a
few other misc. rooms.
Investigation Report
Claims of Activity
1st Floor - Management of the building did
not have many reports of activity on the first floor. They did report
some uneasy feeling in the prop construction area, but that was about it.
Make-up Room - The make-up room seemed to
have the most reports of activity. From the feeling of being watched
to just an uneasy feeling in the room was most of the reports. Reading
one of the previous investigation team's website, they reported that on
investigator was physically attacked in this room. They reported that
some unseen force squeezed an investigators knee to the point of crying and
two other investigators were unable to pick her leg up off the ground, as if
something was holding it there. The knee was released when the team
stated out loud that they were leaving. They reported that a hand
print could be seen on her knee.
Front Costume area - One member of management
felt extremely uneasy in this room.
Back Costume Store Room - Another member of
management stated that she was physically attacked while walking with an
investigation group only a few months ago. She described the incident
where the team was attempting to make contact when her ponytail was grabbed
and it jerked her backwards. She was about to fall backwards when a
member of the investigation team caught her and pulled her back. Other
reports are that one member of the staff feels uneasy in the small props
room and will not enter the area alone for a long period of time.
Hallway (2nd Floor) - Reports of full body
apparitions are seen walking through the hallway. The reports have
occurred multiple times on different occasions and are of a woman and a man
in period clothing. Most reports of these apparitions are that they
are not see-through and that many have mistaken them for actors dressed for
the plays.
Men's Dressing Room - Management reports that
on multiple occasions, the light to the men's dressing room will turn itself
back on after being shut off. They state that when they shut all the
lights off to the building at night and lock up, that they can see the light
back on through the window. They report that the light switch actually
has flipped itself back up to the on position.
"Red Room' - An uneasy feeling is felt in
this 2nd floor room. An investigation from a previous paranormal group
only a short time ago revealed an EVP in this room.
Equipment Location
4 static IR cameras were placed in the building.
One was located in the make-up room, one located in the back costume
storage room, one in the 2nd floor hallway, and one in the "red room." These all are linked back to a DVR
security system.
Wireless audio was placed in the make-up room
Digital voice recorder was placed in the back costume
room.
Each investigation crew carried a Sony Nightshot
Handicam, digital voice recorder, EMF/K-2 Meter, and digital
thermocouple thermometer.
2 separate thermal imaging sweeps were performed as well.
Investigation
The investigation began with an EMF sweep of
the building and a thermal scan. Activity began almost immediately
during the thermal scan. While sweeping the dining area near the kitchen,
Jeremy began to pick up random EMF spikes. So, we sat the K-2 meter
down and began to attempt a K-2 session. What we didn't know was we
were about to have a 38 minutes K-2 session with what seemed to be contact
with a little girl named Haley. We were given the name from the
managers of the location who captured the name from an EVP from a previous
paranormal group. Due to the length of the EVP session, we only cut a
small portion out for your viewing. During this session, it seemed
that we were able to confirm that this little girl was indeed there at this
location, that she died in the 1980's and that she was 12 years old. You
will notice during the video that some times we respond to the K-2 meter
even though the lights don't seem to light up on the video. It is
unknown why this happened, but when we look at the raw footage, you can see
the lights clearly. However, when the footage was run through our
editing software to splice it for your view, the lights were not completely
visible. If anyone is interested in seeing the actual raw video to
confirm this and see the entire 38 minute conversation, please email me and
I can send it to you on a disc.
Also in the kitchen area, there was a picture taken of what looks to be a
true orb.
Multiple different investigations of the
make-up room revealed different activity throughout the night. During
the first time in the room, our investigator Jeremy suddenly began to feel a
very strong urge to leave the room and pleaded for the team to do so.
So, we left, but another team immediately entered right after. During
that time, Ryan had the sensation that he was almost breathing in
electrified air every time he took a breath. He was the only one that felt
this and he had never had anything like it happen before. He stated that it
felt as if he were licking a 9 volt battery ever time he took a breath.
This room was also where a very interesting K-2 session took place.
In the costume room, an orb flew right next
to Ryan's head and then immediately darted off to the left and vanished half
way through through the picture. Our investigator Troy saw this in the
view finder as it happened and made reference to it. There were also
many unexplained EMF spikes in that room that we could not explain.
The manager's of the location stated that
there was really no real activity in the theater area, however, we were able
to capture EVPs in that area. The first EVP was during a quiet period
where the investigators were trying to get a feel for the room. It is
unknown what it actually says. The 2nd EVP is happens shortly after
Dave asks if anyone wants to make contact. There is a whisper of a
"yeah" just before Dave asks Amber if she wants to go investigate the next
room. Both EVPs have been amplified due to the low volume of the EVP
themselves.
This location was a very
good location. Our teams were able to have EMF sessions like none we
have ever experienced before. This too, along with the personal
experience that I had made for a very exciting investigation. It is
safe to say there is paranormal activity happening at this location.
Due to the managers not wanting to scare away their patrons, we have agreed
to keep the name of this location quiet. However, if anyone is truly
interested in this location, feel free to contact me and I will let you know
about it. We never once ever dreamed of having a real K-2 session like
the ones we encountered that night. Control questions were asked and
reordered in an attempt to debunk the sessions, but they were truly legit.
It was truly a remarkable experience for all of the investigators. We
are also a group who does not really believe in orbs. However, the
picture above makes us scratch our head and the video of the orb, to me, is
unmistakable. Since Troy was able to see the event unfold before his
eyes, this brings a little more strength to it. All in all, it was a
great investigation and we would love to go back again.
